Florida vacationAs the Sunshine State, Florida keeps living up to its reputation as a fun and exciting place to take the whole family during the holidays. Aside from its 1,350 mile coast lined with some of the best beaches on the planet, Florida is proud to be a nature preserve, where wildlife is maintained for conservation as well as the appreciation of its tourists.

If you want to have a deep sea experience without having to leave land, then head on over to Sea World, which is more than just a huge aquarium, but an educational adventure for the whole family. As you go through the park, you can be face to face with tons of sea creatures, like dolphins, turtles, whales, penguins, and more. Learn how these animals are trained for dolphin shows, and meet Shamu, the world famous orca. Plus, get to ride thrill coasters like Kraken and Journey to Atlantis.

Florida is also well-known as a haven for some of the largest reptiles on the planet, the alligators. If you feel like wrestling with some gators or seeing their gigantic jaws up close, then you can come to Gatorland in Kissimmee. You can watch live shows with professional gator handlers, and there are also rides for the family.

Florida nature vacationFlamingo Gardens provides a relaxing walk through lush botanical greenery, and will give you the chance to see flamingos and other animals as if you visit them in their natural habitats. There are tram rides that take you around the gardens, and the park is open seven days a week.

For more on undersea adventures, you can take a tour to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. Check out all sorts of fish and ocean animals from various parts of the world. You may even get to feed the fish or dive with the sharks if you’re really adventurous.
