Located southeast of Central America, the Caribbean is a region consisting of the Caribbean Sea and more than 7,000 islands. The place is also known as West Indies after the Italian navigator & explorer, Christopher Columbus mistook the Caribbean to be Indies.

Winters are warm and dry, certain regions see a combo of tropical rainfall and warm, moist tradewinds blowing consistently.
